When purchasing future exam dates, all certification exam reservations (New Customer Orders) MUST have a technician’s name assigned to them no later than two weeks prior to the date of the exam. Failure to provide a technician’s name will result in forfeiture of the exam test date.
All cancellations must be reported to ATTI at least five (5) working days prior to the exam in question. Additionally, ATTI must be notified about substitutions to the roster at least two (2) working days prior to the exam. If you become aware of the need to cancel or reschedule after-hours, over the weekend or a holiday, feel free to leave a message in the ATTI voice mailbox at (602) 200-6780 or email meghaen@attiaz.org.
If cancellations, reschedules are not reported to ATTI in the time frames listed above no refund will be given, per our standard policy. Substitutions will not be accepted if they’re not reported at least two days prior to the exam. If you replace a technician without notifying ATTI in the required time frame, that technician will be turned away from the exam and you will forfeit the money you paid for that exam slot.
A technician who cancels an exam must reschedule in one of the next two open exam dates. If the technician cancels out of that new exam date, (s)he can reschedule in one of the next two exam dates but will be charged a $50 rescheduling fee. If the technician fails to attend the second rescheduled date, (s)he forfeits the exam fee and must start the ATTI application process over.
Thank you very much for your understanding and cooperation in this matter.
If you have a technician or technicians that need to get certified sooner than what is available on our website, you can apply and pay for an Emergency Exam. Pricing is below.
- Field: $545
- Soils: $710
- Asphalt: $710
When you pay for an Emergency Exam, ATTI will reach out to the proctors to get a date and time set. The proctors work to accommodate a date within two weeks of the payment. The Emergency Exams can typically fall on Sunday’s since the regular exams are already scheduled for Saturday’s. Taking the Emergency Exam on a weekday can be accommodated as well if there are proctors available. Typically the exam start time is 7am.
There are not two review days given for Emergency Exams due to the day the exam can fall on, but the review days are open to anyone at anytime. If you have a technician that needs extra review or studying prior to an exam, they can attend any of the review days as long as ADOT can accommodate.
If you have any questions regarding Emergency Exams, please feel free to call ATTI at (602) 200-6780 or email meghaen@attiaz.org.
ATTI will issue a refund check for any person requesting a refund. A person can always cancel within the cancellation policy time-frame and hold a credit with ATTI to book at a later date if needed.
Once registered for an exam, applicants are automatically registered in the review class held the Friday before their designated exam date. This review class is included in your registration fee.
**NOTE: Soils Exams have a second review day. SOILS EXAM REVIEW DAYS are the THURSDAY and FRIDAY before your exam date.**
ATTI also has other material to help applicants study and review before their scheduled test date, including our ATTI study guides and videos, which can be found online.
